The most beautiful excursion destinations in the Kaunertal

Via a panoramic circular hiking trail with a magnificent view of the Kaunertal's three-thousand-meter peaks, you will reach two lookout platforms with worth seeing deep views of Feichten and the Hotel Edelweiss. In between, you make a detour to the former miners' holes, where once the Kaunertal silver was mined.

We stay at the glacier. The Karlesjochbahn takes you up to 3,108 meters. From there you can look out in all directions over seemingly endless mountain ranges. Freedom in the border triangle of Austria, Italy and Switzerland.

One of the most beautiful raised bogs in Central Europe is located near the Naturparkhaus at the Piller. A circular trail there clearly explains and shows the formation of the moor and its diverse vegetation. The path is barrier-free and suitable for strollers.

Fantastic views await you from the sun terrace of the restaurant "Gachenblick". With nature trails & children's playground.

At the Kaunertal Glacier you disappear into the eternal ice and experience the power of the glacier up close. In summer, a secured path leads you through a walkable glacier crevasse. Natural light makes the over 100 year old ice there glow mystically.
